Removal

  1. Remove hex nut securing green wire to terminal post of choke solenoid.
  2. Remove two (2) hex head screws securing solenoid to bracket and remove clamp. Remove choke solenoid by pulling it away from plunger.
  3. Remove band securing wire to solenoid.

Testing and Repair

Equipment: Ohmmeter (R x 1 Scale).

1. Place positive test lead on terminal of solenoid.
Place negative lead on solenoid case. Meter should indicate 0.5 - 1.35 ohms. If not, part is defective and must be replaced.
